ABOUT ME
I have loved every kind of media since I was young. Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, Music, everything. I find that anything that tells a good story is worth engaging with, especially when it inspires you to make stories of your own. I am fascinated with the way stories can evoke reactions from people. Everything from laughter, to sadness, to fear, to anger, can be brought out by something that someone is watching or doing and all I want to do is create things that bring these emotions to the surface.

My video editing career began in high school. I was part of the school news program and would help produce the show. This class also taught us video editing. Soon enough, I was editing videos at home for my personal enjoyment and finding any opportunity I could to film and edit videos for various class projects. This passion continued into college where I pursued a Video Production degree at Ball State University. While there, I made various short films for classes, each garnering high praise. Showing off my final film, a surrealist comedy titled "BOMB SQUAD!", was one of the proudest days of my life as the reception was fantastic. I had people coming up to me after class to congratulate me. After school, I found a job with a local social media video production company where I worked performing various tasks from editing videos to keeping digital filing systems in order and many more for 3.5 years.

My passion for storytelling started in the 6th grade. I would take computer paper and draw comics during class, often missing what the teacher was talking about. I kept them all in a folder and, by high school, it was huge. The most impressive part was that it was not a collection of various comics I drew, but one cohesive story. I looked back on it recently and was impressed it held up so well. While pursuing my Video Production degree at Ball State University, I took some screenwriting classes and fell in love with the process. There's nothing like creating your own world and characters and having them all interact with each other. I would later go on to be hired by a local filmmaker to write two scripts for him, one of which was feature-length and the other was a short. I received great praise for my scripts, often being complimented on my realistic dialogue.

I pride myself on having a unique sense of style and flavor that will make people say "Wow, I've never seen that before". I strive every day to create my own voice to separate my works from the rest of the crowd and am always looking for feedback from superiors and co-workers alike so that I can make my works the best they can be. I am big on taking criticism as I believe the only way to get better is to be told what is and what isn't working. No matter where I go or what I do, you can bet I will do it to the best of my ability and find a unique way to contribute.

September 2015 - May 2017
STUDIO G
Studio G was a German video project on campus in which we worked with the German embassy to create entertaining and educational videos concerning Germany. I was the head writer as well as an actor.

NEWSLINK INDIANA
Newslink Indiana is the on-campus news program that supplies students with up-to-date and relevant information concerning world, country, state, and local news. I served as a small camera operator and floor director for my tenure there.

MUSIC & MEMORY
Music & Memory is an on-campus organization dedicated to visiting senior citizens and Alzheimer's patients in a nursing home and engaging with them. We would talk with them and listen to their favorite music. The effects the music had on some of the patients was incredible. I volunteered here whenever I could.
June 2019 & January 2020
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Assisted as a production assistant for two local production companies. One was for a short film and the other was for a commercial shoot for Republic Airways. It was a very enriching experience and it was amazing to learn more about the production process.
May 2020 - July 2023
STATIC MEDIA
I worked as a Digital Content Producer for Static Media, a large pop culture social media video production company, for 3.5 years. While there, I edited videos, proofread scripts, corrected various errors in videos as they went down the production line, moderated the comments section for both Youtube and Facebook, kept various digital file systems organized and clean, and was able to promptly locate relevant videos for use in content and catalogue it for future use.

Graduated with a Bachelors in Telecommunications with an emphasis on Video Production and a Minor in History.
Projects I have created
A mockumentary I made for a project my Sophomore year about a man who lives on top of the bell tower at my college campus. It is admittedly rather amateur as it is the first thing I ever made that I had to write, film, and edit myself but I still am proud of it.
This was a Junior year project and my first time working with a crew. It is a comedy about a man who must come to terms with the fact that his roommate has turned in to a lobster. I directed, co-wrote, and acted in this piece. Credit for the editing and cinematography goes to my friend, who I can help you get in touch with if you are interested.
This was the final piece I made in my Senior year. It is a surreal comedy about two peculiar police officers that attempt to defuse a bomb and make questionable choices along the way. I made it as an homage to the "Naked Gun" series, which is a huge inspiration to me. I wrote, directed, shot, and edited this piece. In fact, I recorded every sound in this entire film myself and everything from the coat sounds to the voices was added in post. I am incredibly proud of this and I feel it shows off my writing style very well.

A comedic script I wrote, directed, filmed, and edited for my final. It was written in the comedic style of films such as "The Naked Gun" and "Airplane", movies that are a great source of inspiration for my comedic writing style. You can find a link to the film above.
A dramatic script I made for my screenwriting class. I wanted to write something in the style of "The Twilight Zone" a show I admire deeply. I can only hope I did it any sort of justice.
A surreal action adventure script I wrote for my final in my screenwriting class. I am very proud of it and had a lot of fun writing it.
A short film I wrote that was my first attempt at something very dramatic and politically charged. It reflects where I felt the world was at at the time and where we might be headed. I'm very proud of it.
A short script I wrote as an exercise in writing scenes that the viewers do not see, which means creating two scenes in which something happens inbetween that we do not see, but it is still apparent what happened.
A short script I wrote as an exercise in creating a high context exchange between characters, which means creating a situation in which the characters have a lot of history we don't see, but you can tell it's there.
